Default fixed one problem got another. wow......

Ok some of you remember me making a post about my rear brakes and how to replace them. You guys were very helpfull and i did manage to do it. It was really easy. Well anyway i went to replace the front ones and i ran in to a problem. The tool i need to get the caliper off the front knuckle i don't have. I don't even know what it is. I couldn't get a good look at it. So my question, do any of you know what the tool is and what size it is? thanks

I just did my front brakes. You need a 3/8 inch allen wrench. I used one that was attatched to a 3/8 inch socket and then got some leverage. Good Luck.

definitely go to an auto parts store or sears and get the 3/8" hex socket.....will make life much easier then trying to use a regular old allen wrench

lol ok well i got all the brakes fixed. Thank god now i can start drivin my car again. Any way here is the story. I go to town to get the tool i need the 3/8 allen wrench. well about an hour later still crankin on the same bolt. I remember that they do make a allen wrench socket. So i was like well damn. So me and my friend go back to town buy the new tool and go back to my house. get there and start crankin on it some more. I find out then that it isn't moving at all and that is why i have been crankin on it for the past hour. So i just pry the caliper of the rotor. I am pissed now all i have been doin was just screwin around. Not knowin what i was doin. Well did the passenger side both front and back in like 20 mins it sucked so bad because i didn't know what i was doin the first time.
