Default finaly ran at the track!!!

so i went to the dragstrip on friday and ran the camaro. i ran on 20psi on the rear tires(decent tires, not drag radials) and ran a 13.4 at 103.5mph. the second run i was against a sti awd and sucked him right up, my best 60 was 1.9x.
what do you guys think i could do with drag radials?

those are some pretty good times if you had radials and bettered your 60' (which is great for street tires) and you'll be goin 13.1-13.0 at best i think

So you ran a 13.4 on street tires in an LT1 with an intake and catback?

1.9 is pretty good on street tires. if you're an auto, get a higher stall torque converter and i wouldn't be surprised if you were running right at 13 with the same tires

How many miles were on your car Rob? I know the LT1 is good, but I don't think it's THAT good.

Maybe I'm just more of an LS1 fan... BUt I RARELY see bone stock LT1s even flirt with 14, let alone go below.

depends on the driver kal...a stock lt1 should be good for running right around 13.9-14

yes it really does depend on the driver, the first run i got a 13.58 then i let a little more pressure out of the back tires and did a nasty burnout, my reaction time was .2 sec lol. you have to powerbrake and rev it up to about 1500, then let go of the brake as fast as you can and give it as much gas as you can w/o spinning the tires, its really a feel thing you have to practice, i was suprised i thought i would run 13.7 tops but i got it down to a 13.4.

by the way there is 82xxx miles on my car with fresh injectors, regulator, waterpump, plugs, and a bunch of other new stuff, i took out my spare, jack, subs, and floormats b4 i ran.
