Fiberglass Sub Fun.
I got tired of looking at this big square speaker box, so I learned how to work with fiberglass, finished with Herculiner.
the 2 Sonys are in ported enclosures, the HE-2 Rockford is in a sealed enclosure. The box weighs about 75 pounds, speakers extra. Estimated 120 pounds. 2 amps, 1 for the pair, then another, bridged for the Rockford. There are blue LEDs in the ports, to go with the blue LEDs that light up the floor. This thing sounds really nice, its just a huge PITA to set up 2 amps on one box with 3 subs, one sealed box, 2 ported.

Umm holy $hit?!!? that thing is amazingly huge but awesome at the same time. I wanted to do something like that but not so big. Just wanted to make 2 subs, amps and 6x9 speakers take over the rear seat. But to much work. How did you make the rounded sections off the 2 sonys? How many hours did that take you? It looks amazing. Good job man!
No idea how long it took, labor hours anyhow. I started it in September, but most of that time was waiting for the michigan winter, and nickel and diming to get materials on a fixed income.
The 2 sonys. I used that particle board stuff to cut a 2 1/2" ring out on a router, so they were perfectly round. I rolled the front edge with a router bit to avoid a square front edge. I doubled the thickness of the rings, so that it would provide a solid foundation.
