I'm a big fan of the camaros...dont get me wrong i also like mustangs, but iv always thought camaro's were always one step ahead
Anyways, i was wondering what the best year was to get the ls1 and 6 speed? Are all year ls1 the same?
Or does it vary? What year gets the best power?

2001-02 is the most desirable for the ls1. 2001 ls1 cars received the LS6 intake, which was good for a bit more power and eliminated the EGR. However, the power difference is pretty small stock for stock, but if you go H/C, the ls6 can support a larger cam.

Other than that there is not much difference in the cars.

 

I believe that the 02 got the new head casting also which is better
