Default A few odd things

Hey guys I got my car back today from chevy it turned out to be a bad bearing (the one the tranny sits in cant remember name). Anyway I drove it home today and the temp in it never whent above 195 (the first mark after 160). It was about a 10 mile drive and I think that would be enough for it to get up to temp. Im not sure if this is a good thing or a bad one, maybe too much coolant? Another problem I have is with the steering members. I noticed today that when I turn the wheel one of the links on the steering coloumn actually rubs up against one of my headers, should i just leave it how it is and let them mate up or is there something i should do to fix this?

coolant retains heat more than water, so too much coolant makes you run hotter. 195 is within operating temps though, so I wouldnt worry. you could check your t-stat, it may be stuck open. how was the weather? if it was real cold and u were on the highway you may just have stayed a little cooler

I live in FL but it was a little cooler then average here I dont think it would of been cool enough to bring it that low but maybe, was traveling at about 50 mph. As far the the steering caolumn hitting the headers i think tomarrow ill take the header off and put a indent into it where it hits at. Some guys with a 72 nova did it to his and it worked fine. I can really tell that it is hitting it though.

with some cheaper headers that needs to be done. with the more expensive ones, it comes already pre-dented [8D]

sounds like a good plan.
