a little help with a few things
i need a little advice about a few things. i am getting a 350 for my 86 irocz tpi
1. stay fuel injected or go carb? how would carb affect auto tranny tho?
2. if fuel injected, my injectors are so old as me so which ones should i get? i have seen ones for 30 and 36 lb/hr
3. what springs and struts should i get for new york pot hole roads?
4. what pulley kits is good?
ones i found - http://store.summitracing.com/partde...?part=MCH-4130
5. what headers should i get? on summit i have seen ones that are short and ones that are long. i have the stock flowmaster set up, so which one will fit right?
short ones - http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku long ones - http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku
6. am i going to need any computer chips to make the 350 run right because the computer is set up for a 305?
7. what fuel pump is a good one?
thanks again everyone for their help!!

RE: a little help with a few things
Well if u went with a carbd 350 u would just pull all the existing computer stuff out(prom, chips, computer, wiring harness, etc.) because the carb doesnt run on a computer so ud need to get a HEI distributer for the carb 350. The 350 will bolt right up to the tranny. You may want to look into beefing that tranny up or getting a new one, if you throw the 350 in, but its not neccesary it will hold the power. Also u could just stay carb cuz its cheaper and its good flo but if u already have a tpi setup on ur car then might as well throw it on, but itll be tough; will give u lk an extra 25 hp tho. And as far as headers go, go with the edelbrock TES ti-tech coated headers. The're made just for third gens and the come with the headers and a new y pipe; should expect around 15-20 hp from that. and if you're running tpi setup now u shouldnt need a new fuel pump.
