has anyone ever had there radiator fans continously run even after a cold start the fans are on aoutomaticaly ive changed relays and both block sensors they shut of when i pull the relay but there just on all the time 96 3.8 i got the codes read at autozone one is po113 p1406 p1651 and there not in the book

P0113: Intake air temperature circuit high input. For starters, try cleaning your IAT sensor with MAF cleaner spray.
P1406: EGR valve pintle position circuit. Check to see if the EGR is carboned up, and clean it. Could also be an electrical issue.
P1651: Cooling fan 1 control relay circuit. That refers to an electrical issue on the input (controlled, not load) side of the relay.
But I'm thinking if maybe you tripped that code when you unplugged the relay.
Sometimes, depending on the DTC code that throws, the radiator fans will kick on. It's the systems way of putting the car in survival mode.
I'd fix the IAT and EGR first, get the codes cleared, and then see if the fans still run or if the 1651 code returns.

go after the 113 first. test the sensor to see what its seeing. a good scanner should let you see or can test with ohm meter. should ohm the same as ect sensor and i am assuming the 96 3.8 has the same ohm to temp conversion as the lt1. 4th Gen LT1 F-body Tech Articles
