just wondering if anyone as put an old style fan on their car in place of the electric ones.

or if that is even possible, an the pros an cons of doing it.

 

IMO, reverting to a belt driven fan is not a good idea. They waste power by being spun when not needed, and if a viscous clutch is used they became extra heavy. Those are just some of the reasons they are not installed in most new cars.
