Might want to give your insurance agent a call. Depending on your area Z28, under 25 years old, Not married can be pretty pricey. Back when I was 22 I had an offer to trade even up my 74 Z28 clone for a 68 Vett. Vett was was at the dealership I worked at at they did not have a lot in it. Seemed to good to be true. I could have bought a new car for what the Vett insurance was going to cost me. Now I pay $140 a year form my 67 SS

Already contacted my insurance agent. Same price as the v6 for insurance. $98 a month lol. Microkid: I don't have more than $1300 to play with right now. If you want to look at that Z28 for me, that would be awesome but I highly doubt I'll be able to afford it unless there's something wrong with it.

About the only year I would avoid is a '95. The only reason I would shy away from it, is because of the hybrid OBDI/OBDII setup. It just makes it more of a pain to read codes.

Other than that, all LT1 problems are well documented and not hard to fix.

Only advice I can give is watch adds like a hawk and move fast. Trust me when I say there are a lot of people looking for deals on Lt1 6 speeds. When I bought mine I was at the guys house with in 6 hours of his post on craigs list. By the time I got there there was another guy already in route but luckly he was an hour away and 2 more phone call requesting an address to come see it.

The 6 speeds crossmember and clutch linkage are selling between $1000-$1700 on ebay depending on condition. I could easily part out my purchase for 3K.

My friends got a z28, im not sure what year I think its a 96. He's got an LS1 swapped in with LT4 headers, a magnaflow exhaust, and more but im not 100% sure what else. His engine is blown im pretty sure. hes trying to sell it. Im pretty sure its a stick. the body is clean but needs a paint job. Would you want me to ask him about it?
