fairly bad clunk in rear

Is it possible it just needs to be tightened? I didn't see any springs or anything holding it together, just not sure what keeps it together and tight. I'll be lifting it up again in the next hour or so, any insight would be great

The car has a new cable that was installed when the car was safetied. I remember there being a bit of difficulty getting the tension right or something. Do you have to adjust it from the center console or can you adjust it from the wheel?

i think its adjusted by the driveshaft. looks like it could use a tear down and good cleaning. have you thought of picking up a disk brake setup. may be a good time to look around to see whats available.

I think i referred to it as park brake, just finishing up an oil change then i'll upload some more pics. Theres a a clip in the inner top side that holds the park brake in place. the clip was bent outwards thus creating slop. I took it off and bended it back in on a vice. took it for a quick test drive and no clunks.. so far so good
