Now that I got your attention! Ok, ok, before you guys start beating me down take it easy. Take a deep breath........better? Good. Ok while I did buy some rice check this out. I've needed a truck for some time and everytime I saw one I could afford it sold quick. A friend of mine called my Saturday and asked if I still needed a truck and I said yes. He said that he bought a truck for $1600 for his dad but his dad didn't want it so he asked if I wanted it. I said sure but I didn't have $1600. He said to give him $800 now and I could pay the rest in payments. It's a 1990 Toyota short bed that a 5 speed and has ac, nice rims and good rubber. It drives great and it's going to make a great beater for DD and to haul crap. Not to mention the gas I'll save with a 4 banger! What you guys think? Did I get a good deal or did I sell out? Sorry about the title of this thread. I was going for the shock value!!

Hell yeah! I will not get rid of my F-bod for nothing!! I'm a die hard Chevy guy!! Another plus is that if I need to do any work to the Camaro I can take my time instaed of having to get the car done the same day and be in a hurry. Nope she's sitting in my garage away from the weather and resting until the next time I need to bash some hotshot ricers that drive by my house like they are in a race to see who can get to the next stop sign faster.

Sounds like a good purchase to me! Toyota trucks are indestructible, Top Gear fully proved that one. That thing will run forever and you got it for cheap, grats!

 

they dont get as good as gas mileage as you would think though. underpowered. i know quite a few people with them and they get about 20MPG avg(usually all around town)

 

yeah, those things wont die, my dads friend who is like 40 i think has the same one he had when he graduated highschool, nd is still kickin w/ 250+k miles

 

i hate all that rubber, it takes all the fun out of it...
