Default Exhaust work

Hey guys, i have an issue with fxing up my exhaust for '02 Camaro [V6... ] and wanted to ask you guys for some help.

The converter is gone with some leaking in the pipes (i think?) in the front and wanted to fix it (and if possible to get a whole new exhaust system...i was thinking Flowmaster). So, I was wondering if you guys had any idea on how much it would cost if i were to just change the converter and the pipes and if i were to change the whole thing (if i can afford it).

My location is Houston, TX and the shop im trying to get it fixed is Beraca Muffler&Brakes off of Richmond and Hillcroft. Does any one know if these guys are legit?

Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

The Flowmaster is the worst flowing aftermarket exhaust for the Camaro. General consensus is that it's the worst sounding exhaust too. Obviously this will vary by your personal taste. I'd recommend visiting youtube and doing some research. Everyone says the Borla is the best, it's certainly the most expensive.

When I get to the exhaust on my car, I plan to use a Borla muffler ($100), Magnaflow/Carsound high-flow cat ($65), and OBX stainless shorty headers and y-pipe ($300). I'll have an exhaust shop put in the pipe necessary to connect all of it, and finish with tips off a Firebird. Hopefully that helps some. I can give you links to those parts, or you can just Google them.

As for your shop, google is your friend.

thanks brother and I wish i could afford the Borla. But i had no clue, flowmaster were on the bottom of the pile. You think magnaflows are relatively better while still being in the same price range? or are there any others? [for the whole system]

EDIT: Nevermind, after reading through the forums, I guess magnaflow is the next best choice so i'll see what shop is going to estimate and see what it runs me.

For exhaust, don't go the Flowmaster route unless you care more about sound than power.

Do you have to deal with emissions where you live? And are hoping for a power gain from this?
