I have a V6 3.8 and I have changed out my entire exhaust system. I think any after cat back system would sound good and give better performance.

I don't know what state you are from but mine requires emission testing. I'm going to cut out my cat and replace it with straight pipe. Then when I have to do the emission test, I will un-clamp the straight pipe and clamp my cat back in.

This isn't a new trick and just an option to getting a high flow cat.
