Default Exhaust question

'Sup guys. I have a question for yall.

So i'm working on the exhaust of my car. Right now it has factory everything then a Hooker muffler. I'm trying to fashion a muffler-delete kit, while trying to keep the stock dual tip look. Will this y-pipe be able to clamp directly on to the factory pipes without any modification?

Its a 2 1/2 inch all around.

You really need to explain your situation and goals a lot better, I can't follow what you are asking to do with that y pipe specifically.

However, if you are looking to run without a muffler (which I would advise against, they never sound good) then I would bring it to a muffler shop, have them cut the muffler off and weld in straight pipes in the same spot the muffler was in

lol. well you will like no muffler for a day or until the neighbors complain an cops find you. lt1 likes more air and not so much faster air. if your goin for more noise then gut the cat and see how that sounds.

I already have a hooker muffler. The y-pipe will replace the dual outlet side of the muffler. , then the single outlet of the y-pipe will go the left side of the dual exhaust. The goal is louder, noise doesn't matter. I've never owned a car I haven't straight piped. And I live in a fairly rural area, no need to worry about cops or neighbors.

Just get a SLP LM1, pretty much the same thing.

I'm not gonna pay $300 for something that's the same as a $30 dollar straight pipe.

the LM1 is better for a number of reasons including: all stainless steel, mandrel bends, polished tips, etc.

However, LM1 and straight pipes sound like trash, and that's not opinion, its fact. But if you want to do it, I still say have a muffler shop weld it up proper. You will still need to have more exhaust piping bent to fit your needs with that hookup.

But will a 2.5 inch pipe clamp over a 2.25 inch pipe?

There's a V6 adapter kit (SLP31070):
