Default engine parts for my car

Ok I want to get heads, headers well full exhaust. and a cam. I know what i want for the exhaust. But the headers, heads and cam are kinda confusing. I haven't really been learning about aftermarket stuff. I know how to fix the engine but upgrading is shady ground. The question is what would be the best combination of the three. I want the most horsepower i can get. Ohh and gears what kinda gears?

Z28PETE gave this website and they offer some good set ups for a good price. The website is www.eportwork.com. If I would have known I would have went to them first.

The website is www.eportworks.com and their phone # is 972-617-5671. See if that works for you.

I like the AFR heads, as far as cam, most horsepower depends on your compression and a few other things, depending on your tire size and if you are an auto or maual trans I would run between 3.73's for an auto and 4.10's for a manual to start for max performance.

You should also take into consideration what you're going to be using the car for, do you need to be able to drive it on the road or is it a trailer queen? You need to consider those for your cam choice because you don't want to have to deal with a cam that's ramming your head into the window at idle when you're sitting at a stop light that you were barely able to stop at because you don't have enough brake vacume. I do agree with Chris though, AFR heads are very nice heads, although you can port/polish an LT1 head to flow equivalently. Check out what www.totalengineairflow.com can do to your stock LT1 heads, they get some amazing numbers out of them. When choosing heads you want to pay attention to flow around .440, remember the valve is only at it's maximum height for an instant so you'll only hit the .550 lift flow through the head for an instant, so mid lift flow is more important overall.
