Be sure to clean the surface and get it free of any wax

The double-sticky side tape is the *only* way to go!

3X on the 3M tape. And like what was said make sure it nice and clean. You can use rubbing alcohol or wax and grease remover.

I know this is an old thread but I just took my 97 30th anniversary edition to the car wash (I know I know I usually hand wash it but it was 94 and humid and I was spent) anyway got home and one of the orange and white S emblems from the passenger side was gone.

I was calm searched online found 0 for sale. Apparently it's impossible to find true GM replacements. So what did I do. Went back to the car wash stopped "traffic" and walked through and found it. Now I gotta put it back on this is how I found this thread. Thanks and good day.

****.. bet your *** thats what i would do too. i work too damn hard maintaining my cars to lose an emblem like that.. but also shame on you for using the car wash. id rather let it stay dirty and wait for a day where i can clean it than run it through those scratch machines.
