Default Dumbest thing you"ve done to your Camaro?

Mine is still haunting me.

I went to a McDonalds drive thru and put my drink in the (IMHO) the worst cupholder ever made in my 97 Camaro. The first time I hit the brakes, the entire drink emptied onto the (automatic) shifter. Needless to say, it drained through the little plastic things that move when you put the car in drive. I cleaned it as best as possible but now they all stick together and when I put the car in gear, the whole console moves off the hump with the shifter. I have to hold it down or you get a good view of mechanical stuff under the shifter console. I think I need the entire center console now...not sure if it's worth it.

I left my car with my dad for 2 and a half years after he promised to do some engine work on it for me. When I finally got him to bring it back, he hadn't done any of the work he promised to do, and didn't even change the oil. 75 miles later, it spun a bearing and has sat in my driveway waiting to get a new engine ever since.

Edit: Just noticed this is in the 4th-gen section. Oops

When I first got the car, my old man convinced me somehow to put the stupid stick on hood scoops from advance auto on my car. Another reason why I bought the WS6 style hood for my Z.

Lmao bro you have no idea how much I was made fun of. I kept them on for about a month, ripped em off, got the double sided tape off the stock hood, and bought my WS6 hood.

I did the same thing with the drink in my 93. All I had to do was take the shifter **** off, pop off the shifter cover, and clean the moving parts. I'm not sure what the 97's looks like.

Something similar happened to me in my 94. Except I didn't brake and it spill all over, my gf decided to get fidgety and knock it over. The cup holder is too small to hold a sweet tea from wendys but the inside of my console loves to hold it.

With my first Camaro, I was going about 80 on the way to school on the country backroads. Came over a hill, and there were two cats right in front of me. I swerved, panic-braked, and lost control. Went through the ditch, flew about 30 feet, and landed on the roof. Rolled about 3 times. When I came to, my head was sticking out of the top of the car (it was a t-top) and the a-pillar was directly in front of my face. I should've been killed.

As much as that experience sucked, if it wasn't for that, I would never have had my Z28

First time I decided to take a corner to hard (my fuel pump was messed up so my throttle kinda pulsed), flipped around back to the exit I came out of, swerved back the other direction inches from both curbs and ended up diagonal and backwards towards the opposite curb. I had to back up a little, and drive around two cars that slammed on there breaks to avoid me. Oh yeah, it was in medium-light traffic. My mom and her fiancee were in the car infront of me. She got out just to give me a death glare...still haunts me.
