Default DRL's & HID's?

My right headlight HID is flickering and my right fog HID is flickering I switched both sets around numerous times and the right ALWAYS flickers! I hear that having day time running lights (DRL's) affect having HID's and dont allow enough voltage to power them? But I hear HID's use LESS power than OEM headlights? (I plugged my OEM headlight back into the right side and it works perfectly..) I have two different sets of HID brands so I know it cant just be the brand and I checked my ground connections and they seemed fine. I really need help trouble shooting this because im getting inspection soon

I would try using a relay to power the hids. If it a power issue then the direct connection to the battery should fix that.

When I put HIDs in my other ride Ihad trouble with them flickering too, but when I rewired them to straight to the battery the flickering went away. So you might want to give wiring them straight to the battery a shot.

my 97 has drl wich are the turn signal lamps. the brighter turn signal filament stays lit during the day and when the headlights turn on they switch over to the marker lights. also here in new jersey when i was shoping for car insurence every company said DRL where standard on this car and when they inspected the car for full coverage they measured how bright the lamps where and said it was in the range to be considered DRL. also the owners manual says the car has DRL. as far as the hid lights it does sound like a power issue

Yes there is. I disabled mine. What you need to do it locate the small hole one the dash pad. It's about the center of the dash close to the lower point. Pop the pad up twist the sensor that is there and jump the two wires. I took a peice of 14 gauge wire and jumped it. Tap it up. Then put the sensor back and push the pad back down to clip in place.
