Red face Dressed up the air box lid

It probably won't stay there permanently, but I had the idea and just went with it. Took awhile to prep. Just something artistic I felt like doing. I wasn't in the mood for buying a new lid. My lid is pretty chewed up from...something, I'm not sure. It was like that when I got the car, but I tried to make it a little more appealing. Like I said, just something for fun.

Not bad. Think what you could do if you had something decent to start with.

Rawr! You beat me to posting this...( modified airlid ) I really like the look you achieved, did you hand pant "Sofie" on there? I've actually sanded down my airlid now I just need to figure out how I'm gonna paint it and do the lettering. I'm thinking about spraying a coat of red first, then using some sticker printer paper printing out "Luciora". Then trace around "Luciora" on the sticker paper with a pen knife and apply it to the dried red paint. then spraying it a rough black. Then remove the lettering and clear coat the whole thing. Sound like a good way to do it?

Yeah I hand painted it. I made a stencil just from regular computer paper, used a Colorsoft colored pencil to trace the outlines, then went back in and painted it. Your method will work just as well, but since I'm an art student...I wanted to do it that way, lol.

It looks very nice, It'll definitely be a wow factor when you open the hood having that custom touch to it.

Cool.
Why not make it your own, you know?

The Pacesetters were a great investment, I love them
Here's what the lid looks like in my bay (I know it's dirty, needs cleaned), the paint color on 'Sofie' is way off, it's a nice bright pink, but my phone won't pick up that color for some reason, so it looks kinda white.
