Door speaker questions
After I purchased my Camaro I found out for some reason that the PO had removed the driver side door speaker. He had a JVC head unit in it which I replaced with a stock Delco head unit (So I could easily hook up the steering wheel controls and 12 disc changer). I removed the driver side door panel this weekend to get better access to the speaker area and take a look around. I had purchased a set of Infinity Kappa 652.9i 6.75"/6.5" speakers which I found on Crutchfield. Crutchfield said they would fit without any modifications necessary. I also bought a set of METRA 72-4568 adapters I found on eBay that I hoped would make everything as plug and play as possible. I took some pictures because after getting in there I realized I didn't have what I needed and hoped you all would be able to help. My Camaro IS equipped with the 6 speaker Monsoon package.
1.) The METRA 72-4568 adapters I purchased were 2 pin but the wire inside was a 4 pin. I'm assuming I bought the wrong adapters and that the correct ones are out there?
2.) The speaker was considerably smaller than the opening it it designed to screw into. Again I'm assuming that there is supposed to be a removable bracket that was attached to the old speaker that was broken or got thrown away?
I haven't ever removed the passenger door panel to compare because all of the molding and plastic door pieces are in super great condition and I wanted to practice on the driver side since all of the pieces are mangled pretty well due to a PO messing around in there.
I'm trying to keep the stock head unit and amp even though I know there are much better systems out there but after 13 years pretty much all of the stock speakers are blown to bits. I went with the Kappas because of the good reviews and affordable price. Any help would appreciated.

JMT's here - and I'm just asking, would two wires have gone to the midrange and the other two wires gone to the tweeter mounted on the same OE modrange speaker?
Contact me with an electronic mail address and I'll send you a Monsoon diagram as it might help you.
