Default Do halo fixtures make the headlights dim

I have a 02 camaro 3.8L and it has halo fixtures on it. Now recently I drove it at night and I'm unable to see the road and the headlights seem dim. And I put in new "brighter" bulbs and they are still the same brightness as before? What's the problem here? Do halos take more power to run , is that y the power is so low on the headlights?

I put halos in my gran prix and they were a joke for driving! Might try putting a HID kit in them, that helps. Go with the 6k theyre the brightest

Do u think it could possibly be a bad ground for the headlights cause I already have 6k's in it and they are still dim

I noticed today that the bulb on both the headlights seem to be hazy.. I don't know what the bulb is supposed to look like if it's clean but it seems dirty to me.. When I take the bulb out the light is bright as hell but when I put it in it seems dim.. Is there a way to clean just the actual bulb?

If they are a cheap chinese brand off ebay, they will be dim. Almost a danger. I bought a set for my daughters mustang of ebay. Terrible. I tried adding hid's to them. Even worse.
