Default Diy slp air lid

So long story short, I ordered a SLP lid, but since I love to tinker with things I decided to make my own SLP lid using the stock air box while I wait for shipping.
I don't recommend trying this, so I'll try it for you.
I plan to test this VS the SLP lid to see if there's a difference.

Here's the video:

I did something similar on my 01 v6. I didn't do anything to the baffle but I did remove the fins in the lid and smoothed out what was left best I could with a dremel. I haven't really noticed any difference in performance or mpg.

I did P&P my throttlebody, removed the fins and baffles and noticed a huge difference in throttle response and better performance in the upper RPMS. I now lose traction in second when my RPMS hit 5,000 and 5th and 6th are now much more usable.
