Dash conversion
i have a 95 Z28 that i am wanting to put a 97 or newr dash and gauges in. will it all fit right, will the guages plug and play, whats involved in this conversion and how hard is it?

95 Z28, custom paint white with ghost flames...new paint coming soon. 383 stroker in process of being built. keith black flat tops, scat 9000 series crankshaft, pro comp 6inch h-beams conecting rods, custom grind rollercam, trick flo stroker heads, 1.6 roller rockers, msd ign., headers, 2900 stall,gutted cat on 3 inch y pipe and exhaustmany other parts i cant even think of right now..nothing stock

IMO i like the air vents better too, but i like how the newer ones are digital..but i think it would be a ***** just to do that and really pointless...or what you could do is, get a v6 dash and slap it in there with the vin and tell your insurance you just got a v6 lol
well i used to have an immaculate 97 30th anniversary and i like the dash alot better, i think it is cleaner and i like the placement of the vents and the heater and stereo better. to me the dash line is just a smoother transition and thats waht im going for.
i agree i luike the 97+ dash way better.. just seems a lot newer to me and looks better.. Maybe if the older dash had different guages or somethingi t would look better...
Then again i do understand where you say the vent locations kinda suck, but im used to that by now.
