Default Cruise control issue

Car is a 94 v6 5 speed. Last year I had an issue with my cruise control, it would not disengage or maintain speed it would accelerate. Had to pull the fuse on the side of the road to disengage cruise control. Later on I just unhooked the cable.

I may be going on a road trip this summer and would like to get this fixed. Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure if it is related but later on last year my abs stopped working also.

If it does what does it look like and how do I find it? Is it as simple as replace it and it should work again?

For your ABS Inop issue, sometimes it's caused by something as simple as a burned out 3rd brake light bulb. A burned out bulb breaks the ground, give that a check.
