Default Couple questions about wheels

Hey guys,

I am looking to get some new wheels for my '94 v6 (the guy who had it before me beat them up pretty good). and I found a place online where I can get the same rims i have but "Like new" condition for 100 a piece or 50 a piece for the more beat up kind (but still better than mine.) He mentioned that if i wanted "New" rims i should just get mine refinished. So...i guess my question is has any one gotten there rims refinished? or know how much it would cost? I wouldn't get them chromed and they are the stock 10 spoke rims.

Note* I know some guys wouldn't bother putting the same rim on the car...but I'm on a tight budget (college student tight) and would like something that is nicer to look at until I can afford some nicer rims.

thanx guys

I never got rims refinished, but my buddy just got his bbs 3 piece rims on his M3 refinished. Oddly enough for such an expensive rim, he spent $125 to get all four powder-coated and they came out amazing. You just have to shop and call around near you to find a place that does rim refinishing.

If you like the 97 and up silver 5 spoke wheels, I have a set. You're not all too far from me either.

Dang bro, thats a lot! Might as well buy some replica vette rims. My C5 Z06 rims were $150 a rim.

If you do get camaro69's rims your going to have to sand the inner hole to get it to fit over the hub of the rear axels. Not much maybe 1mm all the way around it.

You should be able to do that yourself. Just dont force them on the hubs you can damage the hubs or get the wheels stuck.

Ya just get a small sanding drum for in a drill and go around it a few times. It took me about 10 minutes to do all four of my rims. I did them all sonthat when I rotate I don't have to do it again.
