I think the 3rd gens need the spacer but they are plug and play on the 4th gens. Atlease that is the way they are advertised on ebay. Go check in out on ebay.

You are wise Mr Gorn.

But, on my 95, and I think the 94 and 93's you need to expand the hole on the rears to fit over the hub. I opened them by 1/4 inch. When i bought the Z06 rims, I jacked up the front, put them on, no problems. I then jacked up the rear and they would not slide over the hub. I sat there scratching my head and finally a light went on in my brain (hey, it takes a while for some of us) and I didn't want to mess with a grinder so I took them to the local machine shop and for some quick cash, he opened them up for me and they went right on.

I'm running 275's all around on 17 x 9.5 vette wheels. Anything looks better than those silly salad shooter wheels. Well, the saw blades form C4's don't look much better on F bodies either.

I have rims off a 2000 on my 96 . I had to open up the center hole up about 1/32 of an inch to get them on the back. I would guess the 98 up are good to go.

I have some OEM C6 wheels 18x8.5 & 19x10. I have a 1996 Z28. Didn't need any spacers for the front, but needed spacers for the rears. I think they were 1 1/4 inc spacers. Bought them on ebay a couple of years ago, advertised for camaros/firebirds. The spacers fit fine on my '02 v6 camaro, but when i went to put them on my '96 Z28 they would not mount on. The hole in the middle of the spacers were too small for the hub(not by much). I had to do the same thing "torque is good" did, take it to a shop to have it machined wider. paid about $40 in Dallas to have both spacers opened a small amt.

Hope this helps.
Happy modding!

I have the same wheels as you were looking at in the OP in silver, and mine rub when taking corners fast in the rear. The front is ok though
