Coolant mixing with oil?

Default Coolant mixing with oil?

Ok so I took off my oil cap last night and to my dismay it looks like cheese???? I'm pretty sure it is coolant in my oil atleast it smells as such. i attached some pics hopefully you guys can see what i mean. Im thinking head gasket or something.

Could also be a moisture buildup in the crankcase. Do you do a lot of short run driving? That kind of driving doesn't give the engine much time to heat up fully and burn off any moisture. Check to make sure your crankcase is still venting well (unclogged PCV valve, etc.) Clean the crud off the cap and filler opening, then keep an eye on those and the coolant level. I wouldn't start assuming the worst just yet.

Do an engine flush and an oil change. Clean up as best you can around the cap. Also, check the old filter when you take it off.

could be coming from is the oil cooler. do a pressure test on the cooling system and see if pressure drops. if it does and you cant see the leak try clamping off the hoses to the oil cooler and see if it stops dropping.

alright fellas thanks, I do alot of short driving. I assume the worse cuz I dont want to get hit with any surprises :/
