thanks, I will call the dealer and see how much it will cost. It wasn't too hard to pull it up, cleaned it really good but since part of it broke off I ended up extending the radiator hose so that I would be able to put it back together for now.

I think #13 is the part I need, but I don't remember having a grommet on it.

I just replaced my reservoir too as it was cracked toward the top lip that holds the battery in. The dealer quoted me $56 for the reservoir but that didn't include the hose or cap. In fact the dealer rep told me the hose was discontinued and no longer available from GM. Autozone and Kragen both had it for $40 without the hose but with a new level check cap. I would have preferred to buy one from the dealer with everything but it wasn't worth it. I can say there definitely is a grommet there that keeps the hose from moving around and maintains pressure. I pulled the hose straight out and transferred it and the grommet to the new reservoir without incident. The problem seems to be nailing down a unit with the hose included.

P/n for the reservoir is 10402687. There absolutely is a grommet to seal the aluminum pipe to the reservoir. On my car the corrosion on the pipe gripped the grommet tightly making it difficult to remove. I may go the U-Pull-It tomorrow and grab a pipe for you.

Second, I want to change both Transmission(automatic) & motor oil but dont know which one to use. The sticker that was on the car from the last service was over 6 months ago & it said they used 10-30 motor oil. what should I use, also for the radiator can I just use the 50/50 Prestone Antifreeze??

Thanks in advance
As an answer to your fluids question:
Engine oil: 5w-30 or 10w-30. Check and see if synthetics are required for that year in your manual.
Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF): Dexron III should be the basic requirement for that. Dexron VI just came out fairly recently (last few years or so) and will be somewhat more expensive per quart than Dex III. However, you may see a longer service life and better shifting out of the Dex VI. If you're going to drain the fluid, you might as well change the filter as you're going to be halfway to taking the pan off anyway.
Coolant: Dexcool ONLY if you're doing a full cooling system flush.

Hope that answers your fluid questions.

thanks for the replies, I have also been told that the tube/hose from the reservoir tank is no longer available at the dealer. Not sure if anyone can help with this but, is my top suppose tobe flush/overlap the rear window? my top is a little loose and the very part of my convertible top doesn't touch the rear window unless I pull it down. Should it be glued down to meet the bottom layer & window??

The back should overlap the glass by about 1/2 inch-1 inch. Usually it shrinks over time and the top will get pulled up. Mine is doing this also, only covering about 1/4 inch of the glass. This requires a top replacement unfortunatly.

unfortunately almost every part for this car is discontinued from the dealer and some parts are getting VERY hard to find as for the leak you have there this stuff called quicksteel (i just found it myself) and its the sht it has an operating temp of 600*F and i think a failure point of 800*F it can also withstand something like 1000 psi i love it and am now using it all over my car ive sealed my gas tank i deleted my EGR and filled the hole in my intake manifold with it about 3 mths ago i locked my keys in my car about 200 miles away from my spare set so i destroyed the pass side key hole (mangled the fiberglass) went to the junk yard and got a new cylinder and attached it with the quicksteel i love it and now keep a tube in my shop at all times... and its only like 5$ i think if not cheeper

it will fix this leak
