Unhappy Convertible Top pump valve

Hey all. I have a 2001 camaro and the convertible top bypass valve is leaking badly. I need to replace it but it's discontinued. I found it on a website after much searching and they wanted $200+ for this little valve!! Does anyone have a cheaper solution for this? Any and all suggestions are welcomed! I can still let the top up and down manually but.....

UPDATE. I took the valve apart, there is a cmall C-clip underneath it. There are two O-rings inside of the valve that are flattened. I'm heading to home depot or autozone to see if they have a pack of rubber o-rings that will fit. I'll put it back in and then bleed the system and see if that fixes it. Fingers crossed !

If replacing the "O" rings don't solve your problem,
here's a link here's a link
to an Amazon page with a valve that may work. I didn't go out and check to verify the size of the fitting, but I think it is a 1/4", so you should check that to be sure. The ad doesn't give dimensions, but I don't think that is critical because of the tubing coming from both sides of the pump would allow differences.

WELL! That was a no go. It seems the 1/4 in ball valve I ordered has a half inch female end and the BALL valve inside is a 1/4 inch. How the dumb is that? It was only $10 but i've ordered a 7/16 one that hopefully will fit. this is becoming a pain... ugh.... if ANYONE knows the size of that valve's inside diameter let me know....

Did you check the original tubing size to verify the size before you order the valve? The 1/4" designation refers to the inside diameter of the tubing and not the outside diameter of the fittings used to connect them. IF the existing pump fittings do not fit the new valve, chances are the 1/4" tubing size was incorrect.

Nope. I figured that was the ID of the female valve fitting and NOT the size of the hole inside! so much fun! I measured it and it's either a 7/16 OR a 3/8's I have the valve loose so I think I'm going to run it to one of the hydraulic shops around here and see what they have. NP though, cause it let's down manually with no problems! Thanks so much for all of your help!
