Convertible top pump

I believe when you look into your car from the trunk, you will see an opening into your back seat. (once you remove the divider of course)
The top frame of the opening into your backseat is covered. Pull out the plastic rivets and the cover comes off. Under the cover is where the convertible lines are (I think)

Read the notice below. Also note that it is referring to Hydraulic Fluid, not motor oil:
Document ID# 911168
Service VME - Convertible Top Hydraulic Fluid #PI00386 - (Aug 14, 2002)
This is a service VME to all Chevrolet and Pontiac dealerships regarding 1994 through 2002 Camaro and Firebird convertible top hydraulic fluid. This is Art Spong, Brand Quality Manager for the F-cars. The service manual and ESI incorrectly advise to use DEXRON® III automatic transmission fluid for the hydraulic fluid in the convertible top system. The proper fluid is a ten-weight SAE oil. A bulletin will be issued and ESI will also be corrected. Thanks. If there are any questions, I can be reached at 586-947-8890.

location of lines
The lines run between the hood lid and where the convertible connects to the body on the rear of the car. there should be a flimsy panel that comes off that has two clips holding it up. from there the lines run on the wheel wells to each hydro lift that are under where the b-piller woud be. Honestly I changed out my pump and past holding the up/down switch till the gurggling stoped. Are you hearing a mechanical noise when you press up and down on the switch? cause it could be the switch. also try with the pump switch one way and then the other. If your getting a lot of fluid around the pump and it's not from it spilling when you filled it, you might have an o-ring that needs to be replaced. they sell cheap kits or you can fork over the money and get a whole new pump. Thats what I did.
