Default Convertible Tonneau Cover

Just ordered these. Hopefully they get here before it goes for paint!

Anyone have them on their car already?

There's quiet a few people on ls1tech with those, I know most of them have them bolted together or have built a brace to hold the center up, cause there so heavy, also if it rains your screwed, it won't fit in the trunk.

They look nice for parades, not so user friendly when you want to put the top up or down on a whim.

Well, they arrived today, and after getting them home, I found I had to modify the center mounting holes a bit. Whomever drilled them apparently was drinking their lunch.

Anyway, after getting that minor modification straightened out, I got them bolted up and set in place.

I think they look pretty good, obviously much better after they get painted with the car.

They come with 4 oversized thumbscrews to hold them together, which will allow me to take them apart to set them on the back seat if I need to put the top up unexpectedly. The will not fit in the trunk, even if I took the sub box out.

Once I get it on the road I may want to fabricate some kind of vertical brace for it from the middle bolts down to the folded backseat, just to keep it from bouncing if it becomes a problem. Time will tell.

Here's what it looks like now. Crappy blackberry pics and the car is dusty as hell from being in the shop for a couple of months...
