The light HAS been on since I got the car last fall, I just haven't been able to get the sensors installed due to the cranking problem. and yes its running rich, you can smell it.

Thats the thing, I don't know where or when the exhaust was done . I've wondered myself if the PO done it. Whoever it was they were just plain lazy to not put them back in.

Ones in the manifolds and these two that aren't installed in the exhaust so 4 total.

those back two are for checking the condition of your catalytic converters. do you have any cats? the hanging 02s may be simulators. im wondering if its been tuned and tune went bad. need more info on what you have.

Heres a run down of what I know. stock (probably) 3.8 with 5 speed, stock manifolds, true dual exhaust with dual flowmasters (no cats), cold air intake & filter. The PO "said" he just had $500 worth of exhaust work done right before I got it. It is new pipe, they just didn't put the 2 O2 sensors by the cat back in. They don't look like simulators, they looke like O2 sensors tied up by the tranny. Thats about all, as far as running goes.

installing the back 02s without cats is not going to do anything. you will still get codes because the cats are gone. im thinking the hanging 02s may be shorting. check your fuses to see if any are blown. not sure which the 02 heaters are on soooo check em all. you should look into simulators for the rear 02s
