im in UK with super expensive fuel and my DD is the V8 , personally i dont think it would be worth your effort cause its the 3.4, maybe a 3.8. Plus the gas milage between a v8 driven sensibly and a v6 is only 2-3 ish

Means anybody who can keep their foot off the floor can get 18mpg in the city with a V8 easily. 26 on the interstate I hear?

Yer here are my averages dependant upon driving

not above 2000rpm, ever! with no traffic 29-31 on highway at 75-80 mph

genearl driving sensible, some little tickles up to 5000 but not many, with city and highway combined 19-22, depending on how many "ooops, my foot slipped" happens

the best ever though, i put 2 gallons (british gallon is 9.10 litres) in once and had a hard drive, basically not below 4000 rpm. Lasted 25 miles, ish . It was a fun drive, the woman in the petrol (gas) station looked at me funny when i went back 20 mins later to tank the motor up again!!

yeah.. i know if i take it easy then i`ll get better mileage, my first tank of gas took me about 230miles mixed driving, but the second tank only took me around 160miles.... im scared to change the gas filter because on one side of the filter has a tread, and it looks very rusted, would this be a problem, is there anything i can spray to eat up the rust??

i usually use wd40 for the rust penetration. Maybe put a bit on, let it soak and the have a go at the thread but be very very careful, it might just be surface so hopegfully it will undo

good polish and wax, but sometimes the bird poo tarnishes the paint and it not ever going to come out. since i had my front end sprayed i always was poop off as soon as i see it
