Did cars that had the truck cd option have a different wiring harness? I need that orange 12volt wire back there.

 

So whats this connector by the antenna. Its NOT for a power antenna because camaros never came with one.

 

Might be a body sensor for the security system. The plug looks kinda like it.

 

You are the man. Thats it. I checked the orange wire when the car is on and its 12vdc. Need to check when the car is off. I need that orange wire to power the antenna.

 

According to the service manual, the orange wire at the shock sensor socket is hot all the time, not just when the ignition switch is on. It is fed by the PWR ACC 15 amp fuse and a fusible link near the fuse/relay underhood boxes.

 

So is the antenna, fuse 4, so iam good.

 

If you're wanting to wire a power antenna, here is an article that describes what parts are needed and the instructions to install it. Besides the orange 12V wire, you're also going to need the pink wire from the radio to power the relay in the antenna assembly which controls the 12V power supply to antenna motor.
