better pick up a new water pump to go with the new opti. last thing you want is a old water pump leaking on a new opti. just like plugs, first time opti change is an adventure. lol. i think i liked changing the opit better than plugs. fyi, plug wires are easier to change with the water pump and opti out of the way. have you seen shbox yet 4th Gen LT1 F-Body Tech Aids lots of good stuff

Well i ordered the opti yesturday and it came in 2 hours later. I went to pick it up and it was supposed to be new but had grease and fingerpirnts all over it then the spline peice fell out so i had them order another one. Should be here around 2 today.

Now my question is are the optisparks on my 94 non veted because i sware he said it was vented yesturday?it is a richpotor opti thay comes with cap and rotor. I read that some of the new ones may come vented. Is this going to work?

Also i decided not to do the opti myself. Im going to take it to my uncle's buddies shop. What is an average price for labor to switch it out.

Yours, and "factory replacement" ones are unvented. The MSD I put on mine though, comes upgraded to being vented.
