Default Can you drive without a hood?

I'm driving to Prescott tomorrow to buy a SS hood, and was going to drive without a hood...good idea or bad idea??

Not sure about your local laws but here in TN, it's not uncommon to see someone without a hood!

im almost positive theres a gay-@$$ reason to make it illegal..but if its a short trip, go for it

Illegal in most states but dumb in all. I wouldn't go more than 10 miles.

i think 69 will have something to say here. lol. i really dont know if its legal in washington. ive done it a few times for short distances but never got stopped.

Just do it. If you get stopped tell the cop that your going to pick it up since that's what your doing. It's not bab for the engine. It'll just run cooler. So if it's cold then it's not really recommended.

Hood schmood...who needs one? Taking your hood off to go pick up another one is an excellent ingenious idea, I've done it before! Can't say what your laws are either, but I do know that it can't be against the law here or the cop that once gave me a ticket for accidentally squeaking my tires at a cruise night would certainly have added that as well (he didn't take "oops" as a good enough excuse).

Just watch the weather report. It's about a 3.5 hour trip, so you should be able to anticipate what the weather is going to be like.
