Default Camaro z/28 vs supercharged G37

Hello all,

I recently raced a buddy of mine in his supercharged infinity G37 and figured I share! Spoiler... My Camaro did not win My Camaro is lightly modded but I think it did well vs a supercharger.

Hope you enjoy!

LS1 with a turbo it would not be a race. It would have looked like a golf cart chasing a real car.

This is true. It's not about a loss, it's what I lost to. He's a 21 year old kid with a G37. First time I've lost to one of them.

honestly, you're a cam swap away from putting a car on him.

a decent sized cam and some 4.10s and it would be over

You have a almost stock 20 year old car. At 15 I had a big block Challenger. By the time I was 21 I was building race cars for the track and worked as a GM tech. 21 is not a kid and any car can be fast.

I can remember VW bugs out running Big Block muscle cars in the 70's. The little bugs sounded like model planes with the front wheels never touching.

I had 4.10s before I blew up my first rear end.. was not a fan. I could never catch traction off the line. I've considered a cam. I've had the car since 2005. Even considered an on 3 turbo kit. I might be retiring the old girl soon. The wife doesn't know how to drive stick so might go with an auto C6 one day.

with a half decent 275+ sized tire in the rear you should have no issues. I could hook my 6 speed car pretty well with 500whp on a 275 width 555r

I never understood it myself. I have the bfg g force 2s 265 up front and 275 out back. Never could hook with the 410s no matter how much I tried.
