Default Camaro wont start!

Alright my buddy just changed my opti on my 95 z28. I bought a summit racing brand. I picked up the car today drove it a couple times seemed to be runnin good as new. About a half hour later I go to start my car and it wont start. Its turning over but thats it. My friend is going to check it out tomorrow, but I just wanted to see if this ever happend to anyone else..

I put on the summit optispark also. Haven't had that exact problem, but I have the problem that tons of people seem to have, which is the car dying once the computer hits closed loop. The problem you have has also often accompanied the dying problem. From what info I have collected, it may be worth it to run a diagnostic scanner on it. Seeing what kind of readings you get while it is cranking may give you an idea as to whether you are gettin trigger signal from the optispark. If this signal is not being received the car of course won't start. On the other hand, a wire or something may have been disconnected or broken and shorted or something while the optispark was being installed. I may be completely wrong with my suggestion too though. If I am, someone correct me.

^agree wb96. did you get water on the opti? did the water pump look like it was leaking at all or is it new? havnt tried it yet but have heard sealing the opti with rvt is a good preventive mesure with the water problem. could be several things. ignition module, opti, coil, coil wire, bad/lose wire. pull a plug wire and see if its sparking. on the other side. to take fuel out of the equation u can spray a little fuel (gas in squirt bottle be very careful) in the tb and see if she tries to start.
