Calipers
I have a 93 chevy camaro z28. The caliper is going over the brake pads to tightly, I need to buy new rotors but the rotors are not the cause of my calipers compressing the pads too tightly. The piston is compressed squarely and as far it can go, was wondering if I adjust the adjusting lever if that would help the situation or if its even possible, let alone if it will help considering adjusting it is mostly for the parking brake.
Trying to find some extra troubleshooting ideas that might help.

Have you ensured your caliper slides are not worn and they are full lubed with caliper grease and slide smoothly first?
Have you flushed your brake fluid recently? What color is your brake fluid? This could be an indicator of the need to bleed/flush the brake lines.

I am a little confused. When you install your new pads and rotors you will need to back off the park brake but if you are having issue taking the back brakes a part or you think the pads are currently pushing on the rotors too hard that indicates a bad caliper or brake line.
