Default C5 wheels on SS?

I found some nice true C5 corvette wheels for sale for $450. just wheels no tires. they are 17" front and 18" rear I was wondering if anyone has these wheels on their camaro and if I am gonna need spacers for the rears or what. Also do yall think $450 is a good price on those?

Fronts will fit just fine but the rears need spacers. 3/8" I think are good. Also we needed to bend some of the wheel well sheetmetal on the lower inside just for safety of the sidewall. It takes a BIG hammer to get the metal to do what you want and when you are done you cant tell nothing shows. You can tell where this is once you mount the tires.

I have them on my car. The fronts do fit good but as massey says the rears will rub. I ran mine lowered without spacers but they rubbed when taking hard corners. I am running 1/4" spacers atm and they don't rub as much. So 3/8" should work.

Wath I got told is that a 3/4'' spacer will doo the trick. Nothing will rubb and you will nott need to bend any metal. But donīt take my word for it, havent tryed it yet, must find a set of cromed C5 wheels first.. But there is a guy on this forum that has tryed it and says it works. Canīt remember hes ausermane right now...

I run a 1" spacer all the way around and like the offset, but all is needed is a 3/4" in the rear.

I would suggest if you are going over 3/8th to use an adapter instead of a spacer. You may not have enough threads on your lugs to hold the rim properly and losing lugs on the freeway is bad ju-ju.

There is always the possibility to get longer bolt so you donīt have that problem but an adapter is always better. Less chance of having a problem.
