Bypass AC with smaller belt

Bypass AC with smaller belt
OK.
So my 97 V6 A/C Compressor is going. I really am not looking to replace the A/C on it. Just dont have that kind of money. I looked into the Bypas pulley and they do not make them for the V6 for my year.
My question is... Can I use the belt that is for my model without A/C?
Thanks
Dave
