I like the sound and ingenuity of the LT1. Yes the opti is retarded... the motor is solid though.

lol

honestly, ive owned more than 10 F-body cars. a few g-bodies, w bodies, the list goes on

Ive spent thousands upon thousands upon thousands of dollars buying and modding these cars to what I wanted them to be.

selling my 98 SS and getting the 11 SS was like going from night to day..the bang for the buck on the SS model is pretty much unbeatable..my car was under 30k and I got exactly what I wanted. no engine swaps, trans swaps, rims to hunt down, no more seeking parts for hours on ls1tech and ebay...this was the first brand new car ive ever owned btw.

i would say watch the dealer lots...with the ZL1 coming out people will be trading in their 2010 SS models to get it...which will mean you'll be able to get a pretty much brand new car with low miles for a lot less money

Exactly. If you think upgrading to an LS1 car will solve every problem you're dead wrong. Welcome to the world of F-bodies.

If your looking to mod a car. I would get a 4th gen. 5th is just to heavy... I think of them as a weekend car to take out.

Honestly, if you can't take on a dinky little Opti then big old V8's aren't for you.

It's unfortunate that you sold it. Nothing beats pace car stripes on a 30th anni 4th gen.
