Make sure the heatercore and radiator are in good shape, might try to find out if the optispark distributor has ever been replaced and if so by what make unit.
Newer plug wires are a plus, they're really a PITA to change out.
you say the price seems good, what are you giving if you don't mind saying.

The car is $4500 CAD. I think its a good deal mostly because I cant find another one anywhere near that price around me.

That's a lot for a car with 200K on the clock, you may do better if you wait.
It kind of depends on what all has been done to the car,any receipts come with?
The six speed does some to add value but still that's high miles.
I gave $2000 for my '93 Z28 A4 with 196,000 miles on it.
It looks pretty nice and I drove it home but I had to replace the radiator and heater core, put on new tires right way and a few other minor things.

This what it looked like when I bought it.

200,000 km = 125,000 miles, roughly.

Doah, just noticed that it was kilometers not miles and Canadian money not US,how is the exchange rate now?

125,000 miles is still getting up there, car values drop a lot past 100K miles even if still in primo shape.

CAN$4500 is about US$4100 right now, so not that much difference.

Well that and the mileage close the gap some for sure,I'd still say it's on the upper end of what the car is worth but if you want that particular car and there are few to chose from in your area that is also a factor so it might be a "buy".

That's a good price. If you do a search on Kijiji like I've been doing daily for the past two months, you will see a huge variation on prices. I've seen a 95 Z28 with 170k km going for $13 000 and I've seen 97's going for under $4000. Most seem to be between $5000 and $7000.

So take what you feel is the right price for the car you're looking at.

Going for or asking for?
Big difference between the two.
