Just keep looking, don't SETTLE on a high mileage car. But if you have to settle I guess a F-body is a pretty darn good car to settle on IMO.

Don't be afraid to check E-bay.I got a Super deal on the 95 I bought last year. Be patient and search daily. Good luck!

Alot of times dealers have AS IS lots around back somewhere, they usally have lots of good cars there that they got on trade in and are selling them really cheap, but usally dont advertise them. Thats how I got my '94. I went into a dealer looking at a '05 Mazda 3 GT and walked out with a '94 Camaro for a small fraction of the price, i could have sold it for more then i bought it for if i would have just put it on kijiji or craigslist!

4000 can buy you a good 3rd gen V8. Or a V6 4thgen with fair millage. What are you looking for in the car?

4000 could probably buy you an lt1 with </~100000 miles on it.

If you want an ls1, you're looking at bigger cash. But 9000 for any car with 130000 miles is high.
