Default Brake Light on

Hi everyone, when I got out of work this weekend, I pulled my e brake and noticed my light would not go off. Been two days no and it stays on while driving with no brake engaged. any ideas on what this may be?

Also, it feels like the cable it loose or getting stuck on something because every time I go to engage it, there is different tension with it.

you mean the light on the dash or the brake lights at the rear of the car? There is a switch inside the console, you might check that. Mine was not making good contact making the dash brake light stay on all the time. I had to clran the contacts with some sandpaper. It's a simple metallic switch that is prone to corrosion.

either you have a problem with your brakes or the switch on the e brake is stuck. check the brake fluid level to see if its low.
