Borla,Flowmaster or Magnaflow?
Borla,Flowmaster or Magnaflow mufflers on a 1997 Camaro RS 3.8L?
I want it to have a really good rumble and sound(overall it should sound pretty good)
If i buy Flowmaster, which one would be better,Flowmaster 40 series or 80?
and for borla and magnaflow,do they have like 80 series or 40 series or something like that?hahaha
which would fit my camaro?
Thanks

word on the street is that the flowmaster is one of the most restrictive performance exhaust systems around.
And just so you know both those sites have sound clips and ways to search for your specific make model and year range so they give you a list of packages available and have sound clips with them

If it were me I would not go with any of them
get a dynomax!
they sound fairly good on a 3.8
and are one of the most non restricted mufflers out there
that is what im getting for my 3.8
and stock exhaust for a 3.8 is 2.25 but those are hard to find in muffler size's
so get a 2 1/2 inch and take it to a shop and they can fit it on

shawnathan is correct, flowmasters do not flow well at all, i know its odd by their name, they only have one muffler that flows good and its a single in single out race muffler. You could go with borla but they are pretty pricey.
As others have said, Youtube is your friend. You could drive yourself nuts beating this dead horse. If you have the $$$$, then get the one that sounds best to you. If you are unsure about spending the $$$ and this causes you angst, and you're spending more than 20-30 minutes searching clips, then stay stock.
If you want the "rumble" of a V8, you won't get it. If you want a better sound and to improve flow a little, then pull the trigger man and don't look back or 2nd guess yourself. Order one, slap it on and move on to the next mod.
My choice, on my Mustang (gasp) i flew in the face of what the masses were doing and chose a Pypes system (vs FRPP, Borla, Flowmaster or Magnaflow). One year later and no issues
On my 1995 Z28, I liked the clips of the Loudmouth but Magnaflow was on sale for $325 so I ended up liking the magnaflow better, and ordered it, and it sounds great too.
it's a personal decision for you.
forget flowmaster man , like all said b 4 there very restrictive and they sound raspy on a sixer ,, My buddy has one with flowmaster and he was very disappointed with it .. That being said i would go borla or magnaflow , Im personally a magnaflow guy but i cant take anything away from borla there good too , but from magnaflow u can expect a nice deep tone ... MY choice s magnaflow but its like your underwear man its up to you !!!heres some clips
