Default Bolt size for mounting power window motor to door

One of the rivets holding the window motor to the door has popped out and the others are loose. I want to replace the loose rivets with bolts but I need to know what size I need. I ONLY want to know what bolt size, I don't care what your opinion on rivets vs bolts is.

Thanks

The window lift motor isn't fastened to the door; it is fastened to the regulator, and the regulator is fastened to the door. The regulator-to-door bolts would be 1/4" if i remember correctly. The motor-to-regulator bolts would be #8 (I think). I do remember there being clearance issues using bolts on the door/regulator. Make sure to operate the window fully before reassembly. After re-installation, I used one rivet at the top right corner and wasn't satisfied it would be good for the others, so I installed bolts for the other three corners.

Thanks for correcting me on that Gary, I thought it was the motor. I got some pointers from a vette owner I work with and I'll probably create a how to when I do the project.

Craby, I prefer bolts over rivets for this.

At any rate questions been answered.

don't be silly like me. Be sure to use lock nuts. If you don't have any, don't use what you have, go get some.

Wanna guess when the last nut backs off and the motor flops around? It's not when it's sunny and 80 degrees..................................

these cars know when you take a short cut. That artificial intelligence was installed at the factory and the program "kicks in" during inclement weather, never during nice days.

Tires have that intelligence as well. They only go flat when it's raining, snowing, 100 degrees, you're running late or you are wearing a suit

I'm going to make sure everything's perfect. I only want to have to do this once.
