do you guys like the black roof band on a t top camaro ar prefer it to be painted to match the car.im not sure i like it on light colored cars but dont mind it on darker ones.what do you guys think?

 

I like mine. I think it makes the car more appealing to look at

 

I've seen some painted to match from the factory. I think they did it on the earlier V6 models if I'm not mistaken. I didnt like it at all. I prefer the black

 

i wonder if it is a v6 thing because my blue v6 camaro had it painted and i liked it on that car.the ss im going to look at this weekend is silver with the black band and has black zo6 rims on it but i dont know if i like all the black.i really dont car for black rims on it lol.

It's not a V6 thing, I had one before and it was black. I can't recall ever seeing one painted that way. If you see one that's body color, it was probably repainted with the car. Only thing, the T-tops won't blend as well on top.
On a side note, that sail panel would also be a good place to stick an SS emblem!

 

I love black rims if its a sleeper car.

 

I was a factory option to be painted body color

 

Mine is painted the body color. I personally like it, but I do think it depends on the color. Mine is the pewter silver and I just think a black band would look awful on it.

 

yeah thats just it i think i looks good on white cars but im not to sure about on the silver.dont all the firebirds/trans ams have them painted?
