edit. i see what he did now he modified the sc instead of the body. He cut the back of the intake off and made an elbow so the tb was off to the side.

I can guarantee you it wasn't the LS4. It was probably the 2000-2004 SS

I've seen 2 cars with it done. They had to shave the back half of the supercharger down to questionable depth AND cut out a section of cowl to the point of it looking like @$$. The supercharged motors are also built up to handle the boost. Ours are not.

GM built a firebird with a SC 3.8L in it. They used some parts from Holden (they use the SC 3.8L in a RWD Comedore) and a throttle body from a LT1. The thing looks great in the bird but GM's SV team deemed it too troublesome to put in production.

Ou motors can handle alot more then you think. There's guys on ftv6 running 400+ hp on there stock 3.8l motors. Theres one guy pushing 500 hp and his is still stock. But once you hit that kind of power its all about have a perfect tune an meth injection to keep temps down. When I rebuild my engine im going forged everything then I'll be boosting it shortly after. I want to be safe when i start pumping out 400+ hp. There's a reason why gm had these motors for so long. There tanks when it comes to distruction. The only difference between or motors and a supercharge 3.8 is the cam amd pistons are better and create a lower compression because of it being boosted.

My 3800 puts down about 230 hp and gets 30+ MPG doing it with one of GM most bullet proof drive lines (3800/T5) and it sounds good doing it, well as long as I don't go over 3500 RPMs that when she gets a little raspy. The 3800 has got to me one of the cheapest per mile car to own. As long as you maintain the car and don't over rev it these 3800 just keep going.
