For a 02 ss, whatis the best big cam out there and for the heads as well. i dont mind paying more money for better quality. What websites are good?

 

Look up an Ms4 (magic stick 4)
2 more popular cams are the Trex and the vindicator. Those work well in a cam only set up.

For a heads and cam package TEA (total engine airflow) can set you up with the perfect package for any application. They have one of the best lsx porting programs.

 

There is none, depends on your setup. There are way too many variables involved

 

A better question would be what is your goal. Are you looking for an aggressive track set up or a smoother street package? Do you plan on going forced induction or nitrous? What is your end goal?

 

My goal is for better street racing, i want to be in the 500 to 600 hp range...i was thinking about putting a 383 stroker kit as well, i got the money to spend around 10 grand

 

ms4 cam and port & polished ls6 heads would get you some good hp plus 92mm fast tb/intake man. and a good tune + nitrous. and all other supporting mods! you could be in the 500-600 hp range... and if you have a auto stall it and you will have a mean street machine!

Does he even have an lsx head poerting package? If his question was for an LT1, I would say Advanced induction withoubt a doubt. They are currently working on an lsx program, but i dont think that anything has been released yet.

I would stick with a company that has PROVEN packages or ported heads for an lsx.
